Bohol PNP: Highest crime
solution efficiency in CV

P/SSupt. Arturo Evangelista asserts Bohol police is the most efficient in solving crimes all-over Central Visayas.


P/SSUPT. EVANGELISTA
 In the first semester of 2006, Bohol-PNP registered a crime solution rate of 92.7%, the highest in Region 7, with 833 solved cases out of 898 reported crimes leaving only 65 cases unsolved.

Bohol is followed by Oriental Negros with a crime solution rate of 87.2% and Siquijor, the least populated in the region, with a crime solution rate of 86.3%.

Oil slick reaches Panay - C. Guard

MANILA.- The oil slick formed by leaking fuel from a sunken tanker off Guimaras province has reached the coasts of at least two towns in Iloilo province on the nearby island of Panay as President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo formed a task force to deal with the environmental disaster two weeks after the Solar I went down August 11.
