MBM hits communist extortion
 

Some 35 business groups and prominent individuals here in the province have been identified by Mata na Bol-anon Movement (MBM) as donors of communist insurgents.

Militant groups, the PNP and the Philippine Army expressed alarm over leaflets and caricatures being spread by MBM in the northern and interior towns identifying at least five known cause-oriented group leaders as members and fronts of the CPP-NPA.

Congressman Edcel Lagman was right in saying that the impeachment case was a dead corpse upon arrival. All what was needed in Congress when it was filed, was the formalities of a funeral - as eulogies were delivered and obituaries written over the carcass of a futile political exercise.

CALL FOR HONESTY. Amid the continued campaign against graft and corruption in government, Bobby and Marite Laviña (l), national president of the Brotherhood of the Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) reiterated the call for honesty during the 14th anniversary of BCBP-Tagbilaran yesterday where 15 "honest" individuals receive citation for returning found items while right foto shows the huge outdoor display of the "Be Honest" campaign unveiled at the Holy Spirit School.
