After
Manny Pacquiao, now the considered as the Filipino boxing icon of all times, we
are training our eyes to our very own Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista who is
scheduled to fight today in Florida, USA.
Bautista,
Tagbilaran's adopted son, will be fighting Brazilian Giovanni Andrade in one of
the undercards of the Winky Wright-Ike Quartey fight at St. Pete Times Forum in
Tampa, Florida. The fight is being promoted by Oscar dela Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
Dela
Hoya himself introduced Bautista as the best Filipino prospect after the famed
Pacquiao during the press conference for the fight this morning.

It
was reported by our good friend, Salven Lagumbay of PhilBoxing, that Bautista
came to the presson with the Golden Boy on a stretch limousine and spoke English,
much better than the Manny Pacquiao English, we suppose.
"I've
trained hard for this fight and I am excited to be fighting in America,"
Bautista was quoted as saying.
Well,
brace yourselves Boholano boxing fanatics. Let's cheer for the undefeated Bautista
ala Wowowee's "Boom, Boom, Boom!"

ADVISORY.
The Bohol Tri-Media Association (BTMA) led by our boss, Peter Dejaresco, will
be holding its early Christmas party simultaneous with the awarding ceremonies
of the first ever media excellence for the search in various categories in both
print and broadcast media chaired by former BTMA Pres. Loy Palapos.
Much
to our desire to attend the annual gathering of our colleagues in the profession
but the re-scheduling of our foreign trip due to Typhoon "Reming" compelled
us to skip this much-awaited yearly affair.
The
beauteous Loren Legarda is slated to be the guest of honor and speaker tomorrow
evening.
