SUPERMARKET | | As
a fitting honor to the province's leading supermarket, which is celebrating more
than two decades of dedicated service to the Boholanos, the Department of Trade
and Industry (DTI) gives due recognition to Alturas Supermarket for upholding
consumer rights and awards the Silver Seal of excellence for its total commitment
to consumers.
This
was announced after the DTI-VII Regional Office embarked on a DTI-Certified Establishment
(CE) Program last August 22 which screened business establishments in the region
that uphold the rights of consumers and practice responsible business, where consumers
indeed get their money's worth. |
The
DTI-CE Program also monitored the setting up of a sustainable Consumer Welfare
Desk (CWD) or a recognized Customer Service Counter that provides information
to consumers and serves as a mechanism for speedy resolution of consumer complaints.

PR Manager, Loy M. Palapos, said that Alturas Supermarket submits Consumer Monitoring
Reports every quarter of the year to the DTI-Provincial Office for its prompt
action against consumer complaints through the Consumer Welfare Desk. The store
also takes part in the promotion of consumer rights, especially in the nationwide
observance of Consumer Welfare Month of October.
No
wonder, for its continued efforts in upholding excellence in dealing with consumers,
Alturas Supermarket was awarded with the DTI-CE Silver Seal, especially in the
category of supermarket, Department Store, and hardware, during the Awarding Ceremonies
held at Marriot Hotel in Cebu City last Monday, November 20. Its sister store,
the Alturas Megamarket in Talibon, also received the same feat. |
In
a congratulatory message to the management, DTI Regional Director, Asteria C.
Caberte, cited Alturas for its excellent service to all consumers which serves
as an inspiration to all business entrepreneurs to ultimately create a wholesome
environment of a competitive and responsible free enterprise.
