Newborn rescued;
3-month fetus found

 

Police are now tracking down a suspect who left her newborn girl at a grassy area in Habitat Village, Bool District this city while another fetus was recovered at Espuelas Street, this city.

The infant, still damp with fetal fluids and blood, was seen in secluded area around 7 o'clock Monday morning by the lot owner, identified as Romeo Dagoldol, who immediately brought the child to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH).

 Just Before Deadline
SC to begin deliberations
of Charter change petition

MANILA. The Supreme Court will begin discussing today the petition of Charter change advocates seeking a reversal of the Commission on Elections ruling rejecting a people's initiative to amend the Constitution.

Although Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban earlier said their special en banc session would run until Sunday and a ruling would be issued before the end of the month, a senior justice, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that a decision could be reached within the day barring lengthy debates and deliberations.

ON RECESS FROM CONGRESS. Rep. Edgar Chatto, takes a break as he catches a tilapia at the Inabanga Fishing Village while Congress is on recess. With him are Inabanga Mayor Josephine Jumamoy and Inabanga Kagawad Ronnie Jumamoy. Chatto took time to visit new destinations in the province being the chairman of the House committee on tourism.
