on March 24 for the MOU Signing of the Planting Futures:
Peace & Friendship Trees for Scholarships which has
the 11 public schools of Loay as the Pilot Beneficiaries
of college scholarships in conjunction with the 1565 Treaty-The
Loay Blood Compact celebration. The dramatic March 24,
Water Ceremony at the "well between two rivers"
at Hinawanan Bay, Loay, Bohol made the 1565 Treaty - Loay
Blood Compact Commemoration re-lived and made history
with more than a hundred children taking the challenge
to propagate the essence of the "first International
Treaty of Peace and Friendship," where the MOU signing
for the Planting Futures Project of NRDC (DENR) was done
by Ray Alcoseba with Enerio, emphasizing the importance
of the water in the well that shall nourish the Trees
and the Scholarship Program assuring the College future
of these children. Right photo shows a "spanish soldier"
with the NHI marker at the center beside the well sorrounded
by the hundred children and in the backdrop the "Loay
1565 Oath" with the actual event one can hear in
the background the music of "Panaghigala-ay sa Loay."
It was attended by hundreds of Loaynons where a parade
participated by the 24 Barangays of Loay town made the
event a big success. A Band at Hinawanan Bay hosted by
San Miguel Corp. and PCSO (Serg Valencia) capped the night. |
