"Sabado na Gyud"
at Island City Mall

THE 1565 TREATY - The Loay Bohol Blood Compact Commemoration. Engr. Ray Francis Alcoseba (left photo), president of Natural Resources Devt. Corp. Ebora of Tagbilaran Port beside the newly built "Welcome Building" upon arrival on March 24 for the MOU Signing of the Planting Futures: Peace & Friendship Trees for Scholarships which has the 11 public schools of Loay as the Pilot Beneficiaries of college scholarships in conjunction with the 1565 Treaty-The Loay Blood Compact celebration. The dramatic March 24, Water Ceremony at the "well between two rivers" at Hinawanan Bay, Loay, Bohol made the 1565 Treaty - Loay Blood Compact Commemoration re-lived and made history with more than a hundred children taking the challenge to propagate the essence of the "first International Treaty of Peace and Friendship," where the MOU signing for the Planting Futures Project of NRDC (DENR) was done by Ray Alcoseba with Enerio, emphasizing the importance of the water in the well that shall nourish the Trees and the Scholarship Program assuring the College future of these children. Right photo shows a "spanish soldier" with the NHI marker at the center beside the well sorrounded by the hundred children and in the backdrop the "Loay 1565 Oath" with the actual event one can hear in the background the music of "Panaghigala-ay sa Loay." It was attended by hundreds of Loaynons where a parade participated by the 24 Barangays of Loay town made the event a big success. A Band at Hinawanan Bay hosted by San Miguel Corp. and PCSO (Serg Valencia) capped the night.

ABS-CBN Kapamilya invasion hits Island City Mall with the network's top-rating Saturday variety show of Cebu, "Sabado Na Gyud," live at the Island City Mall Activity Center on April 15, Sunday, at 4 PM.

Awarded as the "Best Variety Show Program" (Provincial Category) by the broadcast industry's most prestigious award-giving body, the 13th KBP Golden Dove Awards, last year at the Star Theater in CCP complex, "Sabado Na Gyud Ngiga Gud" will have song and dance extravaganza, plus games, and other fun and surprises for everyone in its summer episode.

   

Now changed as "Sabado Na, Game Na," the one-hour TV musical variety show will be seen all over Visayas and on The Filipino Channel worldwide on a delayed telecast the following Saturday, April 21, on ABS-CBN Channel 3 - Cebu, from 11 am to 12 noon.

ABS-CBN Channel 3-Cebu entertainment head, Ms. Donna Ocampo, and "Sabado Na Gyud" executive producer, Mr. Adrian Diongzon, both said the ABS-CBN Kapamilya invasion at the Island City Mall is part of the show's summer tour held in big malls and resorts in key Visayan cities.
