A
team from the Department of Health (DOH) concluded the
first-ever training in Bohol on Advanced Cardiac Life
Support Course held at the Bohol Cultural Center last
July 26-28. |
The
team was composed of trainers from the Department of Health
(DOH) thru Director, Dr. Elmer Punzalan, Dr. Felisberto Soriano
- a New York licensed trainer, Dr. Ericson Zoleta and the
Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists (PAMS) headed by
its President, Dr. Rene Catan and Outreach Program chairman,
Dr. Federico Malubay assisted by PAMS Bohol chapter headed
by its president/CEO, Fancy S. Baluyot; vice president, Rev.
Fr. Victor G. Bompat and chairman, Dr. Ramie A. Cadag.

Baluyot,
consultant, health and social services and president/CEO
of the Philippine Gift of Life saod that positive feedback
from the participants who attended the course include
the benefits of hands on training, interactive teaching
methodology, simple version of algorithms, networking,
and use of advanced multimedia resources that helped
them learn and enjoy the training in a non-stressful
way.
A
total of 64 graduates belonging to the devolved government
hospitals and Provincial Health Office, Gov. Celestino
Gallares Memorial Hospital; Association of Municipal
Health Officers of the Philippines - Bohol Chapter;
Don Emilio del Valle Hospital; Tagbilaran Puericulture
Center and Maternity House.

Board
Member Cesar Tomas Lopez, chairman on SP Health Committee
provided his inspirational message and likewise awarded PAMS
and DOH accredited certificates of attendance and training
modules to the graduates as well as certificates of appreciation
from Gov. Erico Aumentado and a souvenir gift from the group
of participants thru Dr. Mary Ann A. Ruiz to the conducting
trainers during the culmination program commending their remarkable
efforts.
