A
19-year old beauty who strut her package of sophistication
and elegance worthy of a beauty queen captured the hearts
of the distinguished board of judges and bagged the
majestic crown of the annual search for Miss Informatics
2007.
Cheezel
Mae Gida, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
student, won the title over 8 other equally stunning
candidates last Wednesday at the University of Bohol
(UB) gymnasium. She also won Best in Evening Gown.
Other
winners were Roxan Eve Baloco- 1st Runner-Up, Ms. Congeniality,
Best in Talent and Ms. Aldea Smile; Haidee

2nd Runner-Up and Best in Swimwear, respectively.
Other
candidates were Angelique Joy Tubo, best in interview; Jay
Ann Gengosa, best in production number; Jeany Lyn Cruz, Ms.
Dunkin Donuts, Best in Casual Wear, Ms. Photogenic; Josephine
Abrau, Anasille Mendez and Angelica Arcayena.

search for Miss Informatics pageant is getting more
and more exceptional each year", a regular search
spectator declared, the evident indication being that
this year's center-sponsored pageant has attracted an
even more swarm live audience
The judges were Jack Arat, Bohol Tropics Resort sales
and marketing director, Daphne Cajegas, former Miss
UB Personality title holder, Nomi Cañuto, UB
Human Resource Manager, Mandolin Regis, Executive Assistant
of the Office of Honorable Urbano Lagunay and Elvi Peter
Relampos, director of Medlex Business Data Corporation.
Miss
Informatics 2007 search was presented by Informatics
Computer Institute and in cooperation with Universal
Printing Press, Dunkin Donuts, Aldea Photo Center, Cristal
E College, Bohol Tropics Resort, First Flower Avenue,
@ Pit Dot Internet Café and Cez & Socrates
Sison.

The
pageant was in conjunction of Informatics Computer Institute's
5th year anniversary as the leader in information technology
training and education services.
As
a testament of its excellent IT capability, the software used
for the tabulation system during the search was the high-tech
Delphi 6, a native programming language from Borland Corporation.
The said program created by Informatics students Rio Greg
Buscato and Jessie Tabel II under the supervision of lecturer
and center resident programmer Albert Oclarit composed of
a client and server which took 3 days to make.
Meanwhile,
Informatics Days was highlighted by various activities such
as Arts, Literary and Music competitions, table & ball
games, quiz bowl, programming competitions, among others.
