3 dads stick with Joe, with six newcomers

Former City Mayor Joe Torralba who is bent on capturing back the city hall officialdom is slated to officially announce this week the revised list of his slate following the defection of three incumbent kagawads to Mayor Dan Lim's camp.

During a meeting at his residence yesterday, six neophytes were confirmed to be included in Torralba's slate, namely: Veviano Inting, Mariquit Oppus, Jerry Pabe, and Charles Cabalit. The names of radio commentator Barangay Kagawad Roberto "Batchoy" Alba, Jayvee Bullecer and former City Kagawad Jun Mendez also surfaced as probable choices in the slate.

Torralba who earlier picked Kagawad Jose Antonio Veloso as his running mate has three incumbent kagawads confirmed in the line-up: Kag Edi Borja, Kag. Lucio Balbin and Kag. Archie Sarmiento.

Former City Kagawad Jun dela Torre was likewise confirmed to be in the slate.

The group is scheduled to file their certificates of candidacies anytime this week which is a week before the deadline set on March 29.

The new names listed in the Torralba-Veloso camp surfaced 24 hours after three of their incumbent kagawads earlier included in the slate bolted and announced to join Lim's group, namely: Kag. Oscar Glovasa, Kag. Dandan Bantugan and Kag. George Olario.
