According to Raya, while he was at the airport compound yesterday, Judelo Sampilingan confronted him about the incident that transpired between him and the latter's father. The victim was surprised the suspect suddenly drew a 38-caliber revolver and shot him in the stomach.

The victim ran towards the airport main building but was pursued by the suspect and the latter's father (Marcelino) who tried to pin down the victim.

Airport security guards were able to intervene and confiscated from the suspect the 38-caliber revolver with one live ammunition and an empty shell.

Both father and son are currently detained at the City PNP lock-up jail while charges of frustrated homicide are being prepared against them.
