FCB opens Maramag branch

The First Consolidated Bank has opened its Maramag branch along Sayre Highway in Maramag, Bukidnon, as part of its branch network expansion program.

Maramag Mayor Jose Obedencio said he welcomed the opening of FCB Maramag Branch to support the growth and development of the area and nearby towns.

Maramag is a vast and rich agricultural area, which is the passageway for vehicles going to Davao, Cotabato, and Lanao del Sur provinces. Many of the successful farmers and businessmen in these areas are Boholanos or of Boholano ancestry.

N. Tolentino A. Gallares, vice president for support services of FCB, said the opening of FCB Maramang Branch strengthens the bank's reach and capabilities in growth centers and in the countryside.

FCB Maramang Branch is one of five new branches FCB will open this year. The other branches are San Jose in Antique; Iloilo City; Legaspi City in Albay; and Bato in Leyte.

Maramag Branch is a full service branch, offering a wide array of financial services and programs. The branch will help address the financial needs of its service area, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises.

At present, FCB has 42 branches and 10 marketing offices nationwide, making it one of the biggest private development banks in the country.

Aside from extending banking services and program, FCB practices corporate social responsibility implementing projects in the fields of education, livelihood, and health, in partnership with local government units and non-government organizations, Gallares said.
