LIM

A former city official died last Thursday at the age of 81.

Former City Councilor Margarito "Toto" Lim served as city lawmaker during the term of former Mayor Jose Ma. Rocha way back in 1992. The former city mayor remembers Lim as part of the city delegation which signed the sisterhood pact with Zumaraga City in Spain while he was serving as city councilor.

Prior his election as city lawmaker, Lim who was a physician by profession was a long time city health officer of Tagbilaran. He also served as health officer in some of the municipalities.

He was an active civic-religious leader being a former president of the Lions Club and a former commander of the Auxiliary Coast Guard. He was also a servant-leader of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP).

His remains lie in state at Funeraria Gomez.

Interment is scheduled at the Dampas Catholic Cemetery tomorrow after a requiem mass at the Cogon Shrine.

He is survived by wife, Dr. Ester Lim, children Margie-Roy Uy; Rodolfo-Susan Lim and grandchildren RyJil, Rynil, Ryvil, Rywil, Carlos, Marla and Margarito Guy II.
