CHATTO
|
|
The
Congressional Offices of Congressman Edgar M. Chatto
at the House of Representatives, at the Bohol Provincial
Capitol and at his residence are open to all of his
constituents.
He
renders personal service to his constituents whenever
he is present in any of these offices. Even if he is
not physically present in these offices, his staffers
are there to attend to the needs of all walk-in or phone-in
Boholanos.
|
In
congress, he regularly attends and participates in all sessions,
presides over committee meetings, speaks at various sectoral
institutions especially in tourism and agriculture industry
activities.
During
weekends and Congressional recess periods, he regularly visits
the barangays in the first District. Happy and satisfied,
with Chatto's public service, they spread the good news about
how they were treated in any of these offices. This has been
the norm since Chatto's ascent to the political firmament
many years ago.
In
a survey conducted by the Holy Name University (HNU), Bohol
Poll 2007, Congressman Chatto was considered as approachable
and helpful. Other positive traits that were observed by the
people are his quality of public service, trustworthiness,
dedication to his people, his tried and tested leadership,
his being a true blue Boholano, his ability to fulfill promises,
his humility, integrity, honesty and his being talented.

The
important projects that are most felt by Boholanos in
the 1st District are roads, waterworks, lighting, educational,
agricultural, medical and livelihood.
In
the HNU survey, the respondents relayed that they knew
of these projects from its physical presence, radio,
newspapers, by word of mouth, billboards, streamers
and calendars, in that order.
As
a result, Chatto's net satisfaction rating soared to
82%. It is not surprising then that based on the same
survey outfit, 93% of the Boholanos do not believe in
the current black propaganda hurled against Congressman
Chatto by his rival.
|
"I
would like to thank our Boholano brethren for giving us the
opportunity to and for being able to build a better Bohol
for everyone," an elated Chatto said after reading the
latest HNU survey.
