The
San Nicholas Academy Friday outsmarted 21 other schools under
the Bohol Association of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of
Tagbilaran (BACS I) to get the over-all championship crown
of the BACS I Meet held Nov. 20 to 21, this year at Balilihan
town.
Pretty-food
Kimberly Lara of the Holy Cross of Tubigon bested the 18 other
beauties from rival schools to clinch this year's coveted
Miss BACS I Personality.
Petito
M. Nediatrix Pantollana Escabarte got the judges' nod in the
search for BACS I Miss Athletics.

The
other winners follow: 1st runner-up - Holy Infant Academy
of Baang, Catigbian; 2nd runner-up - Holy Family Institute,
Tubigon 3rd runner-up - San Agustin Academy, Panglao;
and 4th runner-up - St. Anthony Academy of Batuan. Miss
SAGA was also declared Miss Talent in the Miss BACS
I Personality.
The
four-day sports festivities were ushered in Tuesday
by Tagbilaran Diocese Bishop Leonardo Medroso, D.D.
concelebrated the holy mass with the other BACS I priests.
It was followed around the town's main thoroughfare.

Provincial Board Member Isabelito "Tatay Billy"
Tongco, chief of staff of Cong. Edgar Chatto, guested the
opening and welcome program.
Mayor
Victoria Chatto, Fr. Reuben Angela, and Fr. Linuel Casiñares
welcomed the delegations and guests in behalf of Balilihan
town, host school Mt. Carmel Academy and BACS I Central Office.
Fr.
Cañizares, BACS I superintendent and Academic Supervisor
Winefreda Fuertes Flores raised the BACS I flag.
The
sportsfest closed its curtains Friday afternoon with the awarding
trophies and prizes to the winners.
