"SWERTRES" OPERATOR NABBED

An operator of the illegal numbers game 'swertres' was arrested with his two sons who were found in possession of illegal drugs by elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Guindulman town last Saturday.

The suspect, identified as one Rodulfo Eyas y Castro, resident of barangay Tabajan, Guindulman was collared by joint CIDG operatives and Guindulman police in his residence around 8 p.m. by virtue of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 50 Judge Dionisio Calibo.

MANILA. Former socioeconomic planning secretary Romulo Neri has ignored a subpoena requiring him to appear in yesterday's Senate hearing on the national broadband network (NBN) project.
