Halloween events
at Island City Mall
By ARIEL E. FULLIDO

It's a wholesome Halloween fun with no tricks but all treats at the Island City Mall, as this is the time of the year when boo is boo-tiful, fright is fun, creepy is cool, and spooky is spectacular.

This coming October 31, Wednesday, wear the scariest and spookiest attire in the Halloween Costume Contest at the Activity Center at 3 PM, and win big cash prizes of P4,000, P3,000, and P2,000, if chosen as Best in Fantasy Costume and Scariest Costume. Non-winning entries will receive P500 gift certificate. Teens and adults aged 13 to 30 years can join the Halloween Costume Contest.

On the same day, kids aged 3 to 12 years joining the Halloween Costume Contest can also participate in the Trick or Treat around the mall. The place of assembly is at the Activity Center at 3 PM. All kids must present a receipt of at least P100 worth of purchase of any Halloween accessories at the Home & Fashion Department, from October 15 to 31.

For more inquiries regarding the Halloween Costume Contest and Trick or Treat, interested participants may contact the Marketing Department of Island City Mall at 501-6255 (Globelines), 411-2952 (PLDT), or 09178014709 (mobile nos.)

Also going on at the mall carpark, right at the back of the Activity Center, is the Frankenstein's Ancestral House where one can get inside and feel the thrill and chill of Halloween. Entrance is free for every purchase worth P200 at the mall. The horror house will run until November 5.

Meanwhile, events happening today at the Activity Center are the Baby Shoes Workshop sponsored by Hallmark at 1 PM, and the 5th weekly round of La Bailar Ballroom Dancing Competition (Foxtrot Category) at 4 PM. On October 30, Tuesday morning, is the Peace Poster Contest, sponsored by Tagbilaran City Lion's Club.
