Panglao
road fund assured
The
central road in Panglao is assured of funding from the national
government in line with the construction of an international
airport.
Rep.
Edgar Chatto, chair of the House committee on tourism said
that Pres. Arroyo approved the allocations, instead of waiting
for fund assistance project either from Japan or Korea.
The
central road budget is earmarked at P185 million while the
two causeways leading to the island was also appropriated
P80 million, the one in Mansasa side and the other along sitio
Ubos, this city.

The
two bridges linking Panglao island to the city was given
a separate budget by the national government, according
to Chatto.
Work
will commence next year as the airport construction
targets completion by April 2010.
The
solon was able to convince the President to hasten the
work as this is a basic part in the development of Panglao
with an international airport therein.
