Congress inquiry on effects of oil survey without Bohol solons

At least 10 congressmen from Central Visayas and party-list groups signed a resolution asking for an inquiry into the effects of the oil seismic survey and future drilling at the Bohol-Cebu Strait.

However, Boholano solons Edgar Chatto, Roberto Cajes and Adam Jala did not sign the resolution.

FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES. Public elementary school students of barangays Tiptip, Dao, San Isidro and Manga were among the first recipients yesterday of free school bags with notebooks, pencils, crayons, paper pads, ballpens, raincoats for boys and umbrellas for girls. Next week the city government will start distributing school uniforms and shoes to some 9,500 pupils here.

WHERE ARE THE BOHOL PUBLIC OFFICIALS?

 

No less than the American Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney was just here to pitch for environmental preservation - particularly of the Bohol coastal area. This marine life and bio-diverse habitat is the beneficiary of an American aid program calling for their protection.
