  Cong. Chatto Cup opens
 

DAO 3rd GOV. ERICO AUMENTADO CUP KICK-OFF. Provincial Administrator Tommy Abapo in behalf of Gov. Aumentado, tossed the ceremonial ball during the formal opening of the Dao Commercial Basketball league 7th season last Sunday at the Dao Hard Court. There are six commercial teams namely University of Bohol Flying Lemures, HNU Falcons, FNA/Dalikyat 24 Pob. 3, PMI Colleges Bohol, Dao-Berama, and Taloto Dynapharm and five inter-purok teams are officially listed as participating teams in the biggest basketball league in barangay of Dao, this city. The 2008 1st Congressional District Junior Basketball and Open Men's Volleyball tournament formally started yesterday, giving anew thousands of fans to witness the most popular sport summer spectacles.

Action resumes today a renewed call by Cong. Edgar M. Chatto, one of Bohol's sports patron, to all youths to keep away from illegal drugs and other vices and instead indulge in sport activities in this time of the year.

Countless of fans who witnessed the opening of the tournament also known as the Cong. Edgar M. Chatto Cup, will be thrilled to another action-packed double-header today featuring the Mansasa Dragons against the popular Asuncion Fishers in the first match and followed by the much-awaited showdown between the Cogon District

Five and newcomer NF Transport Roadrunners. Other playing dates will be announced shortly.

   

Atty. Sarmiento, OLTA prexy and chairman of the board welcomed the guests and fans.

City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio S. Veloso, for his part, called for the development in the city. He was introduced by sportsman and city Kag. Leonides L. "Edi" Borja. The annual summer spectacle is the organizing organization with the full support of the 1st District Council under former collegiate standout, punong barangay Nino Racho H.
