Buy out" City Square


The City Square contractor is proposing an P80-million buyout offer to the city government, seeking relief from the controversies hounding the rehabilitation of the former Agora public market.

Ko Beng Sum, president of the Tagbilaran Business Center (TBC) Realty Development Corp., the contractor-operator of the soon-to-be completed City Square , manifested his intent to back out of the project during the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) session last Thursday right after the hearing of the case filed by lawyers Victor dela Serna and Alexander Lim at the Regional Trial Court. lead survey for next governor

Boholanos have picked Rep. Edgar Chatto, Vice Gov. Julius Caesar Herrera and former Gov. Rene Relampagos as their top three choices for next governor, according to the recent survey done this year by the Holy Name University Center for Research and Local Governance (HNU-CRLG).

The survey, dubbed the Bohol Poll 2008, showed the preferences of the Boholanos on the possible successor of Gov. Erico Aumentado whose third and last term will end at noon of June 30 in 2010. FULL STORY
