Valentine events
at Island City Mall

By ARIEL E. FULLIDO

The season of love has brought exciting Valentine specials with delightful surprises at the Island City Mall this coming February 14.

For food lovers, indulge in delectable menus in the lunch buffet at the Foodwalk at 10 AM and enjoy soothing acoustic music with the Jam Session band. At 4 PM, watch the Cupid's Arrow Fashion Show at the Activity Center, or have a date with teenage Boholana GMA star, Rich Asuncion, at 5 PM.

Relive the heady days of the past with the best of the 60s, 70s, and 80s music with the Versatile band live at the Activity Center, starting at 6 PM, during the dinner buffet. The band will play the greatest hits of Bee Gees, Cascades, Eagles, Toto, America, Simon & Garfunkel, LRB, and many more.

For a fine dining experience, enjoy a romantic dinner with your loved ones, or the whole family, at The Prawn Farm at the upper ground level of the mall. It offers a 14-course red carpet buffet, both for lunch and dinner, with a strawberry fountain that provides a bit of grandeur to the setting. Four rich and velvety desserts to chose from, free to all diners, will also help satisfy your palate.

The first 25 lady guests during lunch and dinner time will also received long-stemmed red roses at The Prawn Farm, and to add glitter to the red-letter day, a singer will serenade everyone with the best romantic music live on the piano.

Pay only P350 per head, excluding drinks, and enjoy the best of fine dining this Valentine's Day at The Prawn Farm. Lunch time is from 11 AM to 2:30 PM, while dinner time is from 6:30 AM to 9 PM.

At Chowking, enjoy a movie marathon with the best love stories to die watching for, and hear the best of love music with acoustic band, M-One, from 3 PM to 5 PM.

For your Valentine greetings at the mall, submit it at the Customer Service Counter, or at the Activity Center for live messages on the widescreen through LCD projector, which can be viewed the whole afternoon. For every purchase of P500, one can express love through Valentine greetings at the mall.

At the World of Fun, join the "Match-A-Heart" promo where free balloons will be given away to the first 80 customers. Fresh Valentine flowers are also available at the Activity Center from February 12 to 14, with free delivery within Tagbilaran City.

MS. UBAY 2008 Virame Evangelista (c), 17 of barangay Camambugan was crowned on pageant night last Jan. 24. The pageant was one of the highlights of the town fiesta. Flanking the reigning queen are Joy Ann Atuel, first runner-up and Sheene Curan, second runner-up.
