1st V-Mayor Invitational Tennis winners

 

After three days of thrill, tennis enthusiasts in the northern towns of Bohol finally cheered the winners of the first Vice Mayor Galicano Atup Invitational Tennis Tournament held in Ubay town last February 8-10, 2008.

Emerging as champions in the Class B category are Margarito Lofranco and Christopher Petalcorin of Inabanga town. Runners up are Joy Butcon and Dante del Rosario of Alicia/Buenavista.

In the Class C category sponsored by LM Commercial-Ubay Branch, the following are the winners: champions, Diosdado Corre and Marthe Corre of Alicia and runners up, Michael Cemine and Nestor Olano of Duero.

   

Participated in by tennis enthusiasts from Valencia, Jagna, Duero, Candijay, Mabini, Alicia, Talibon, Buienavista, Inabanga and Pilar, the invitational semi-final and final matches for both class B and C were held on Feb 10, 2008.

The tournament was being organized by the Ubay Tennis Club with the following newly-elected officers: president: Ernesto Uy; external v-president: Cyril del Valle; internal v-president: Albert Logroño; secretary: Glenn Bahenting; and treasurer: Manulito Magaporo. Court manager is James Dulcero.
