Unity forum to discuss
Sunday's prayer rally

Boholanos who are known to be passive even on national issues are starting to move to join the nationwide haul of protest on the snowballing revelations on massive corruption in government.

A "Unity Forum" will be held Friday with well meaning citizens to discuss the stand of the silent majority on the recent exposè on alleged corruption revolving behind the aborted ZTE-NBN broadband deal.

Lawyer Isabelo Sales Jr. of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP Bohol chapter), lawyer Raul Barbarona, Vicente Loquellano of the non-government organizations together with former Gov. Rene Relampagos led the convenors group during an initial meeting last Monday. The group decided to meet on Friday to finalize a prayer rally for Boholanos to dramatize their "call for truth."

The group in asking for truth to come out is appealing to Boholano Ched Chairman Romulo Neri to come out in the open and reveal the whole truth on the multi-billion anomaly in the aborted ZTE-NBN broadband deal.

The group will finalize the details of a prayer rally which will be held on Sunday at Plaza Rizal, this city.

Meanwhile, the "Mass for Truth" will kick off this Sunday, 5 p.m. at the centuries-old Baclayon Church with Msgr. Vicente Nunag officiating. Other priests in the diocese have committed to hold the "Mass for Truth" in their respective parishes.
