A
determined five of the Bohol Institute of Technology International
College Jr. Cruisers halted defending champions Bohol Wisdom
School Golden Dragons, 83-65 to gain the 1st final slot of
the ongoing 13th Bohol Schools Amateur Athletic Association
(BSAAA) 3rd Graham C Lim Basketball Challenge at the UB gym.
The
rampaging jr Cruisers ignited a 10-0 blast to overhaul a 9
point deficit in the 3rd quarter to grab the driver's seat,
50-60 as the Herculean pair of Kent Galaura and Brel Meurom
started to dominate the boards to overwhelm their counterparts.
From
there the Jr. Cruisers never looked back as they fought their
hearts out coupled with the defenseless opponent as the formidable
combination of Galaura and Meurom continued to fire their
arsenals with accurate precision.
Former
All-Star most valuable player Melvin Cyrus Polestico, streak
shooter Kristian Atienza, power forward Lyle Gregorio had
their bad night as they kept struggling to put up a fortified
effort to neutralize Galaura and Meurom but to no avail as
the latte were unstoppable.

Meurom
slicing the middle with his patented barreling drives
with Galaura taking the missed shots or getting a pass
from under the basket and converted the points for his
team.
University
of Bohol Baby Lemurs spoiled the day of the never say
die Mansasa High School Blue Marlins as they dealt the
latter, 74-54 to stay alive for a final's berth (1-1).
They need to win against the Golden Dragons to arrange
a showdown for the championship with the Baby Lemurs.
Jay
Guillena, UB's heart and soul, with the collaboration
of speedy Zaldy Vente defied the opposition even as
the most improved Elong Casile fighting for dear life
in futility.

The
victory gave the Baby Lemurs their dominance against the never
say die Blue Marlins. In the elimination round battle, the
Baby Lemurs won, 84-79.
At
lemon time, the Blue Marlins were on top by a solitary point,
27-26.
Uy
sparked an uprising that never realized as his teammates lost
steam and became erratic until coach Gerwin Cabalit pulled
their starters to give way for the Jr cruisers to run away.
The
Golden Dragons dominated the 1st half, 37-28.
BIT
