The
Technical Education and Skils Development Authority now
offer the English Language Course to Boholanos. The Course
is part of the Language Skills Program under the President
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo-Training for Work Scholarship
Project (PGMA-TWSP) which focuses on the language training
requirements of Filipino job-ready workers both for the
local and the international job markets. |
The
English Language Course duration will be 100 hours, using
the Manila Times Language Institutes Web-Based English Training
Program. As identified by other training partner for the English
Language, the Course shall, likewise, offer the Sutherland
English Language Training Program which involves face-to-face
training approach. The course will be offered in two shifts
a day, at four hours per shift, with one-is-to-one ratio of
the trainee to the equipment is strictly observed. The course
will be handled by an expert trainer, trained at the Language
Skills Institute (LSI) and certified by the National Trainers
Training Academy (NTTA) as Training Methodology I Trainer.
Here
in Bohol, the English Language Course is offered at the Provincial
Training Center (PTC) of Jagna, Poblacion, Jagna, Bohol. PTC-Jagna
was chosen as Regional Site of Language Skills Institute (LSI)
by TESDA Top management thru Sec. Augusto "Boboy"
Syjuco due to its newly constructed Computer Laboratory for
the 3rd District funded by former 3rd District Congressman,
Cong. Eladio "Boy" Jala. The 1 million Computer
Laboratory Project started in the 1st quarter of 2007 with
the initial release of P400,000 by the former Congressman
and the remaining P600,000 is opt for release by the new Congressman,
the father's successor, Congressman Adam Relson Jala.

With
the existing, ready, available structure, the Language
Skills Institute (LSI) will deliver 27 Computer Units
on Jan. 11, 2008 that will signal the start of the operation.
To
make the site more conducive to learning and to meet
the standard set by the LSI, the provincial government
of Bohol thru Gov. Erico B. Aumentado and the local
government unit of Jagna thru Mayor Exuperio Lloren
now gives their share for the completion of Floor Tiles
and Painting of the LSI room amounting to P125,000.
For
all Boholanos, the Provincial Training Center of Jagna
and TESDA-Bohol Provincial Office are now accepting
enrollment. All interested applicants must meet the
following requirements:

Must be computer literate; and should pass, and get a minimum
score of 46 points in ProSpeak English Proficiency administered
by TESDA Bohol. Exemption from ProSpeak Pre-assessment when
the applicants not intending to work in the Call Center industry
shall be exempted from taking the ProSpeak Pre-assessment
given the following conditions:
When
the applicants already have employment contract, hence they
are already for deployment in English-speaking countries:
or
When
the applicants are certified by TESDA in the qualification
in which they shall be employed and shall be practicing abroad
e.g. Caregivers, butchers, Welders, etc.
· Photocopy of any of the following: certificate of
competency issued by TESDA; training certificate issued by
TESDA Registered Program; Diploma from Higher Education Institutions.

Photocopy of Birth Certificate from NSO to show that the applicant
is not less than 18 years old

1 pc. 2x2 ID picture and 2 pcs. 1x1 ID pictures (white background)
