shootings, 6 burglaries in one week

One was killed while three others were wounded in a spate
of shooting incidents here last week.
The
shootings left police with no clue as a series of burglaries
occurred which victimized three business establishments, a
law office and the residence of a doctor.
Thursday
night, suspected rebel leader Ronald Sendrijas was gunned
down while buying medicines in a pharmacy along Gallares Street
fronting Ramiro Hospital, this city.
Two
9-millimeter rounds to the head killed Sendrijas on the spot.
The motor-riding suspects fled the crime scene leaving police
investigators with only two empty shells of the 9 mm rounds
that hit the former rebel leader.
Last
Wednesday, at around 3:30 p.m., another motor-riding assailant
armed with a pistol of unknown caliber shot one Hermilo Hornido,
64, a resident of VP Inting Street, this city.
Hornido,
who was hit on the right foot, told police that he did not
know his attacker.
Shortly before midnight last Thursday, one Dario Badiang Jr.,
a resident of Poblacion, Corella town was shot at his right
arm in barangay San Isidro, this city.

The
victim claimed his assailant was one Antonio Go, who
resides in barangay San Isidro, this city.
Another
victim of a shooting incident is Dominic Manigque, 21,
a resident of Rizal Street, Sacred Heart Village, this
city.
Manigque
was shot near the National Food Authority (NFA) office
in barangay Mansasa last Saturday.
According
to police, two unidentified suspects riding in tandem
aboard a motorcycle drove by Manigque and shot him on
the right forearm.

BURGLARIES
A
total of six burglaries were recorded by the City PNP last
week.
More
than P300,000 worth of cellular phones and ready-to-wear (RTW)
clothings were carted away by unidentified robbers who ransacked
PJ Star Enterprises at the Ambassador Arcade along B. Inting
Street last Monday.
Police
said the burglars gained entry through the establishment's
roof by cutting its galvanized iron roofing.
A
total of 94 cellular phones and RTWs were stolen from the
store.
The
firm's security guard, stationed outside the store, knew about
the robbery when store employees reported for work the following
morning.
Last
Wednesday, at around 4:45 a.m., the residence of Dr. Henya
Sotelo in Caingget Drive, barangay Booy, this city was intruded
by a lone robber who forcibly entered the house through a
wooden door.
The
suspect took off with 1 diamond ring, 1 diamond earring, 1
white gold ring, 2 gold bungles, 2 Chinese gold necklaces,
1 unit Nokia cellphone and 1 unit DVD player.
Last
January 8, around 8 a.m., robbers broke into the law office
of lawyer Antonio Amora Jr., Save n' Earn and Nuga Best.
The
suspects reportedly gained entry through the roof of the two
adjacent buildings where the three establishments are located.
Taken
from Amora's law office was a laptop computer worth P40,000.
Several land titles owned by the lawyer's clients were allegedly
torn into pieces by the suspects.
At
the adjacent building where Nuga Best and Save n' Earn were
housed, the robbers took off with another laptop computer
valued at P45,000, a video camera worth P50,000, cash amounting
to P3,100.
Police
have yet to identify the suspects of the series of shootings
and robberies.
