Biz permit renewal 'til Jan. 25 yet

Mayor Dan Neri Lim informed businesses operating in the city that he intends to extend the renewal of business permits at the City Hall to January 25, 2008.

The city mayor issued the statement during his Mayor's Report yesterday morning over Station dyRD to give

ample time to businessmen, considering that January 19 and 20, which was the deadline set by the city, falls on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

He said that his proposal to extend the deadline will be passed through the Sangguniang Panlungsod for approval.

In separate interviews, city councilors Dandan Bantugan and Edi Borja said that the mayor's request for extension is good as approved as they both see the need to do it.

Both said that Lim's proposal will be tackled during the session on Tuesday.

The mayor reminded the businesses here to pay their taxes and to avoid penalties. (RVO)
