Meet to kick off today

Young athletes from fourteen municipalities of the 1st Congressional District of Bohol will meet at Dauis Central School Grounds starting today for the 1st Congressional Athletic Meet that winds up on Tuesday.

Guests, officiating officials and athletes will start the 3-day activity with a parade at 1 p.m. followed by an opening program and field demonstration. Expected to grace the affair is Gov. Erico B. Aumentado, Congressman Edgar M. Chatto, DepEd, Bohol newly appointed Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Elpidio M. Jala and many other stakeholders from both DepEd and the Local Government

Unit. Officiating officials will showcase their skills with a basketball exhibition game to end up the first day of the meet.

   

The second day will be spent for all athletic games and competitions to be held at the Dauis Central School Grounds. Guests and officials will be entertained with a Welcome Socials and Dinner tomorrow night. Said welcome is prepared by both the Local Government Unit lead by the Hon. Mayor of Dauis, Mayor Luciano A. Bongalos and the Department of Education, Dauis District under the leadership of Elizabeth A. Castolo, the Central School Principal.

Awarding and Closing Program will be tendered in the afternoon of Tuesday, January 22. (Ma. Luisa Fuerzas-Tolop)
