Post-fiesta Karatedo
c'ship in Cortes today

 

CORTES. Martial arts fans here and neighboring towns, including the city of Tagbilaran will be treated to a daylong Open Invitational Karatedo Championships today.
Malou Diola, a staffer of the office of the Municipal Mayor told the Chronicle that the tournament starts at 8 a.m. today at the Cortes Amphitheater to entertain fiesta-weary fans.

   

Dubbed the Promotions for Integrated Martial Arts (PIMA) Karatedo Tournament, the tournament is open to all karate clubs from all over the Visayas.

The Federation of Bohol Karatedo Organization-sponsored tournament aims to integrate all karate clubs from the Visayas.

The event will have children, juniors and senior divisions in kata and kumite competitions.

According to Region 7 Philippine Karatedo Federation Director Manuel Aloba, the event is expected to attract more than 20 karate clubs from the region. Aloba leads the officiating crew along with Erlando Metante, Jessie Paredes and Noeme Suarez.
