The
Bohol High School Class 1955 held its reunion last Wednesday
at the JJ's Seafoods Village, this city.
Class
president was Atty. Gervacio Lopena who holds the position
since time immemorial.
Some
of the attending classmates came from far flung places of
residence. They are Engr. William Ogan from Thailand, Francisco
Alvarez, Minglanilla, Cebu, Felipa Visarra Jalandoni, Silay
City, Negros Occidental, Vita Lungay Lim, Virginia, USA and
Jorgeta Pondoc Larrobis of Davao City. Others who attended
included Maximina Pagsisihan Araneta, Esperanza Brunidor,
Luz Maslog Zamora, Nilo C. Maslog, Veronica Pondoc Alagon,
Gonzala Walwal Apale, Simeona Ligason Virtucio, Fortunato
Walwal, Francisco Calamba, Nimia Lungay, Rufina Nalzaro Morgia,
Rufino Pilayre, Quintin Cimafranca, Gervacio Lopena, Lolita
Honculada Dumalag, Cinena Torralba, Luz Nalzaro, Cristina
Sanchez Salamanes and Socorro Gondong Dehing.

Out
of the 143 Class '55 members, there are now 99 left
to endure the adversities and pleasures of life.
Highlight
during the occasion was the election of the new set
of officers conducted by the Past President, Atty. Gervacio
Lopena. Elected were the following: Esperanza Brunidor,
president; Nimia Lungay, v-president; Luz Maslog-Zamora,
treasure; Maximina Pagsisihan Araneta, asst. treas./sec.;
Engr. Nilo C. Maslog, PRO; Dr. Siemona Ligason-Virtucio,
Asst. PRO; Atty. Gervacio Lopena, auditor; Lolita Honculada-Dumalag,
asst. aud.
In
the afternoon after the election of officers, the group
went to visit their Alma Mater now Dr. Cecilio Putong
National High School for picture taking together with
the School Principal.

Afterwhich,
they proceeded to Sunshine Home in Cabawan District, Tagbilaran
City, to give and distribute foodstuff to 28 abandoned children.
This
is a project of the Bohol Catholic Women's League Foundation,
Inc., of the Diocese of Tagbilaran.
The
affair ended with a Dinner and Socials at the residence of
Luz Maslog-Zamora in Taloto District, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
