The
concept paper is being finalized by Reyes, President
of the Manila-based advertising agency, Mediatrade,
which will design the promotional impact of the event.
Reyes
said that chocolate manufacturers as well as other sectors
involved in the chocolate business in the country will
be invited to grace the Choco Festival to feature their
products in a showcase of chocolates, including home-grown
choco products from various provinces.
The
event is designed to draw impact while Mayor Molina
will officially announce "to the world" through
a wide media coverage during the event, the opening
of the Chocolate Hills complex to be rented out to interested
private developers.

The
Carmen LGU and the provincial government presently own the
complex with the former managing the operation anchored on
a 70/30 sharing of its net income.
The
Chocolate Festival is being spearheaded by the PTC, the provincial
government and Carmen LGU in a bid to enhance the attractiveness
of the Chocolate Hills as a destination.
"Activities
are needed at the area so for tourists to stay long at the
Chocolate Hills," Dejaresco stressed citing that tourists
want to stay longer if there are activities which can be done
at the world- famous tourist spot.
He
said it is a long overdue project to put in activities at
the complex with the Chocolate Hills considered until now
as the "signature destination" of the province.
Mayor
Molina with his town officials welcome this development as
one "on the right track of promoting Carmen as a major
tourist destination."
