Talibon pug faces Indon,
February 9

UP-and-coming Ciso Morales of Talibon, Bohol faces what could be biggest and toughest fight of his young ring career on Feb. 9 against Marangin Marbun of Indonesia for the WBO Asia Pacific Super Bantamweight Youth title at the Mindanao Civic Center in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

This was learned from CDN correspondent and ring judge Salven Lagumbay.
Filipino fight fans will finally be able to see the 'new kid on the block' in action as the fight will be covered by Viva Sports and will be shown on the boxing show "The Main Event" which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. over IBC 13.

Morales (9-0-0 6 KOs), nicknamed by his handlers as 'El Terrible' in hor of the great Mexican Erik Morales, is in a must win situation as he was already penciled to see action under the huge Pacquiao-Marquez II card on March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Morales' opponent, the Indonesia Marangin Marbun (11-3-0 5 KOs), had previously seen action in the Philippines where he lost to Kidapawan's Glenn Porras over 10 rounds for the WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight Title.

The Feb. 9 event, dubbed as 'A Night to Remember-Battle of Champions', will feature an explosive undercard where reigning Philippine minimumweight champion Denver Cuello will defend his belt against Maasin's Alex Aroy. The PBF minisfly championship belt will also be disputed by Cebu's Arman de la Cruz against Donnie Mabao. Other promising Mindanao based boxers will also see action in the opening bouts.

The event is being organized by Lemuel Yap of Black Scorpion Promotions in cooperation with SGG Promotions with no less than the first family of Lanao del Norte - the Dimaporo family led by congressman Abdullah D. Dimaporo, his son governor Khalid Q. Dimaporo and the former governor Imelda Q. Dimaporo - pledging full support for the event.
