MARIBOJOC.- The St. Vincent Institute Alumni Association (SVIAA) honored Sunday 41 Maribojocanons who have excelled in their respective field of endeavors during a Eucharistic celebration and recognition rites at the San Vicente Shrine Church, this town.

The annual honoring and recognition rites, which is on its 31st anniversary, bannered the theme: "The Professionals Today, Shaping the Country's Future."

   

The honorees were headed by Mayor Leoncio B. Evasco Jr. together with SVIAA president Precillano Echavia, the local chief executive also delivered the welcome message.

Ester Racho Yokuya, provincial human resource management officer of Zamboanga-Sibugay, an SVI alumna, guested the recognition program. She challenged the youthful honorees to think of possible solutions to solve the ills of society.

She was introduced by Municipal Councilor Pantollana-Autentico, press relations officer of the aggrupation.

On the same occasion, prexy Echavia inducted into office MAribojoc MPIO Godofredo Fuertes as a new member of the SVIAA board of directors.

The honorees included Mayor Evasco, elected chief executive; Dr. Shary May Manuta, doctor of medicine; Ma. Annalissa Jabines Babera, M.A. in Mathematics; Dave Anthony Marcial, M.S. Computer Science; Judith Galo and Emma Pintor, certified public accountants; Lourdes Lumantas, master teacher II; Ma. Isabel Barafon, master teacher I; Engr. Allan Laniba, mechanical engineer; Engr. Jesse Cales, Engr. Jayson Ramiso and Engr. Ralph Herbie Ventero, electrical engineers; Engr. Arnold Busa and Engr. Hubert Paderog, civil engineer.

Emmanuel Sarabia, Laianne Canoy Aragon, Maria Joanne Pagaran, Juliet Reselosa, Yassyr Bañanola, Elvira Basilad and Lady Love Cabilla, registered nurse; Mary Rose Merlas, forester; Engr. Hubert Paderog and Lady Mae Bongco, master plumbers;
Jelyn Abelada, Nancy Jeanette Fermo, Rowena Membreve, Carmelo Pantollana Jr., Lucy Mae Padillo, Janice Panoga, Tito Amando Pantollana, Portia Ruaya Narona, Belle May Reselosa, Zyra Zabala, Jajah Alcala and Aristotle Descallar, licensed teachers; and Jahanna Jeneth Barnaja, midwife.

Gino Silva is a special awardee being a 1st runner-up in the regional search for Deck Cadet of the Year.
