In
bidding farewell for the year 2007, the Rotary Club
of Tagbilaran conducted its traditional "Gift Giving"
projects aimed to add brightness to the spirits of the
children and some deserving "paisanos."
Despite
hectic schedules doing year-end activities and spending
precious moments with their children and relatives who
were coming home for the holidays, the members of the
club, headed by President Louella G. Bantol, took time
to be with the people they wanted to share "little
somethings" hoping that they could help give meaning
to their celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
As
early as November 24, 2007, the Rotary Club of Tagbilaran
led by Project Chair, Rotarian Feh Corpus, started gift
giving with the children of Santa Cruz Chaplaincy at
Mansasa Heights, Tagbilaran City. With the activity
coinciding with the Children's day celebration of the
Chaplaincy, the members of the club joined the fun by
presenting song numbers.

The
presentation by the Sagalas of SantaCruzan 2007 composed of,
Vanessa Kascher, Joanne Cuarteros and Shane Sun Jamisola and
the duet done by Kim Gango, Santa Cruzan 2007 Queen of Angels
with Bantol, president of the Rotary Club of Tagbilaran were
met with very warm applause by the audience.

On
December 11, 2007, the club led by Rotarians Grace and
Carlos Campo and Mildred Kascher distributed gifts to
the children of Centro Day Care Center in Tubigon Bohol.
On
December 12, 2007, with the bundles of Joy prepared
and packed by Rotarian Boots Gango and company, the
club led by Rotarians Irena Heberer and Dario Rosalejos
distributed Bundles of Joy to deserving residents of
Poblacion III, Tagbilaran City.
On
December 22, 2007, the club led by Rotarians Heberer,
Willem K.E. Willems, Corpus and Butchie Zamora with
guest, SantaCruzan 2007 Reina Elena III, Velerie Ranis
distributed gifts to the children of Tawala Day Care
Center, Barangay Tawala, Panglao, Bohol.

Rotary
Club of Tagbilaran hopes that by making people, especially,
children happy as the year ends will bring good beginnings
for the year 2008.
