Edcel Lagman's Reproductive Bill during a prayer rally attended by some 15,000 Boholanos yesterday afternoon. Marchers started from 5 jump off points in the city reciting prayers which was beamed from the studios of dyRD. The marchers converged at the St. Joseph Cathedral for the program and the concelebrated Holy Mass attended by some 50 priests. It was one of the biggest prayer rallies ever held here. Chop-chop suspects
face double murder

CEBU CITY. - The family of the two "chop-chop" victims finally came face to face with the three suspects in the brutal killing of their kin as charges of double murder was filed at the Office of the Prosecutor in Talisay City yesterday afternoon.

SInsp. Romeo Santander , chief of the Minglanilla PNP in Cebu told the Chronicle that Richard Gudelosao, 27, and two accomplices Joseph Cellar, 23, and Jean Antonette Medalle, 26, were formally charged with double murder based on their extra-judicial confessions of killing and cutting up Ma. Eva Mae Peligro, 24, and her cousin Gwendolyn Balasta, 22, in their Talisay City home last Thursday

MANILA.- The Philippines will tighten its southern maritime borders against pirates, smugglers and Muslim militants this year with financial aid and training from the United States and Australia, a senior defence official said on Tuesday.
