Diocesan youth
volunteers sought

Inspired by the fruitful twenty-seven years of communion and service of the Diocesan Commission on Youth, the Campus Ministry - Student Catholic Action and Parish Youth Ministry of our diocese extended another venture of bringing Christ to the young through its Christian programs and formations launched on this school year 2008-2009.

We're so grateful that the previous years the diocese was able to produce diocesan youth volunteers who voluntarily offer their lives for the ministry and excelling in leadership not just in our diocese but beyond.

As the school year 2008-2009 begins, the office of the young in our diocese opens recruitment in various colleges and universities in the city. College students are invited to serve the Campus Ministry-Student Catholic Action Diocesan Secretariat whose functions are to organize, implement and mobilize Christian formations, recollections and related activities among the secondary and tertiary schools in the diocese with affiliation to SCA.

We also invite college students or young professionals to serve the Parish Youth Ministry - Diocesan Young Formator whose functions are to give life to the young people in the parishes, organize, implement and handle PYM programs to all parishes in our diocese.

Those who want to join must be willing to attend and undergo leadership trainings, and Christian formations; willing to meet and work with the young; handle recollections, seminars and trainings to the secondary and tertiary schools and parishes in our diocese. The youth volunteers will have a chance to join and participate in the regional, national and international conferences and youth days.

Youth volunteers will be visiting schools for the recruitment on these following dates:
June 16 and 18 HNU Main; June 17 HNU Bates; June 18 and 24 University of Bohol; June 19 and 20 STI; June 19 and 27 Philippine Maritime Institute; June 19 and 20 CVSCAFT; June 20 and 25 BIT-International College; June 23 Informatics Computer Institute; June 26 Cristal-e College.
