Police remain clueless regarding the identities of two suspects who robbed the owners of a gas station in barangay Dao last Tuesday.

The two armed robbers fled with P240,000 in cash after they held-up Felix and Thelma Ayeng, owners of Dao Caltex Gas Station, who have just boarded their service vehicle to deposit their collections at a bank here about 8:30 a.m.

The still unidentified robbers who were aboard a motorcycle blocked their path and took the bag in the possession of Thelma that contained the P240,000 cash.

According to the couple, one of the suspects disembarked from the motorcycle pointing a gun at Thelma who was holding the bag containing the money to be deposited.

The victims could hardly provide police a description of the suspects as they covered their faces with t-shirts and the incident took only a few seconds, according to Thelma.

The gun toting suspect approached the victims without saying a word and went straight to grab the bag which contained the gasoline station's four-day cash collections.

The lady-victim said she did not attempt to resist the suspect fearing she and her husband would be shot.

Nobody among the gas station employees even noticed the incident, according to the couple. It was only after the suspects fled that the victims called for help.

The 4-day collections were supposed to be deposited last Monday but they were not able to do so as it was a holiday.

Police suspects that the robbers knew the routine of the couple who admitted they usually deposit the preceding day's collection every morning when banks open for business.

The Dao Gas Station does not have a security guard and had been a victim of another robbery several years ago.
