This according to CDN correspondent Salven Lagumbay.

In an electronic message sent to ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer, Lewkowicz announced his arrival in Panama Monday to ink the deal in the presence of WBA president and executive director Gilberto Jesus Mendoza Jr. and other officials of WBA.

The warrior's luck rang for reigning WBO Youth super flyweight champion and WBA No. 3 World super flyweight contender AJ "Bazooka" Banal as fortune dropped off WBA super flyweight king Alexander Muñoz with a loss to WBC super flyweight defending champion Christian Mijares for the WBA-WBC titles on May 17.

With WBA No. 1 superfly Nobou Nashiro not available after his fight n March, and No. 2 Kuhei Kono after his championship win in February, to bid for the top post, he became the available next-in-line contender to take on the vacated title contested by No. 5 Rafael "Little Bull" Concepcion.

A true soldier of boxing, Lewkowicz is famous for his efficiency in created exciting matches in the history of boxing.

That includes the 3-minute deal he closed for the 53rd, and as it turned out later the final, professional fight of Evander "The Real Deal" Holy field against WBO heavy weight champion Sultan Ibragimov for the WBO title in October last year. In February 2007, he figured out for his masterly work for the "Moment of Truth" extravanza, the first world-quality boxing entertainment held in Cebu City.
