Spirit School - Tagbilaran celebrates the beatification of Blessed Josepha SSpS,
Hendrina Stenmanns, the co-founder of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy
Spirit (SSpS).
Blessed
Josepha is beatified today, June 29, 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI in Tegelen, Netherlands. |
In
joyful anticipaton and in thanksgiving to the Triune God for the gift of Mother
Josepha to the Church, the Holy Spirit School family - Tagbilaran offered a Triduum
last June 17-19, 2008 in a meaningful prayer service and a floral offering.

highlight of the joyous event was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 8:30
to 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church. The main celebrant was
Most Rev. Bishop Leonardo Y. Medroso, D.D. and the homilist was Rev. Father Andres
Guban, SVD. The con-celebrants were the SVD priests headed by Father President
Francisco Estepa, SVD. The celebraton was graced with the presence of the HSS
- Tagbilaran and HTA-Loay families with the participation of pilgrims from different
schools in the city and representatives from different congregations in the Diocese
of Tagbilaran. | The
mass was followed by a procession. A tribute in songs and dances at the Holy Spirit
School auditorium culminated the beautiful celebration. The
life of Blessed Josepha truly emulates her motto "My Heart is Ready O God,
My Heart is Ready." May her unique qualities of simplicity, humility and
kindness - continue to inspire each one to live our lives to the full, all for
the Glory of the Holy Triune God. |
