Nickie Bolos, a fourth year BS Computer Science student of the University of Bohol
and a resident of Barangay Biking, Dauis town is adjudged recently as one of the
twelve national finalists of Bayer Young Environmental Envoys for 2008 (BYEE).
As
BYEE finalist, the young Boholana will implement a project consisting of 500 x
200 meter marine sanctuary in Barangay Biking. The project duration is three months
beginning June 10 to Sept. 9. Should this project be adjudged as one of the top
four projects, Bolos will be given an all expenses paid educational tour to Germany
on Nov. 1 to 8. | The
projects advisers include Jean Cirunay, Science Area coordinator; Dr. Lino Garsuta,
CWTS coordinator; Gina Lopena, community extension services officer; and Dean
Nomi Pamaran-Cañuto, student personnel services.
The
selection of Bayer Young Environmental Envoys- 2008 is a joint initiative of Bayer
and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). |
