City awaits PNP chief
By KIT BAGAIPO

The replacement of city police station commander CInsp. Jacinto Cesar has yet to be named by the Police Regional Office.

Cesar was officially relieved as city police chief following his promotion to head the Regional Firearms and Explosives, Security Agencies and Guards Supervision of Central Visayas.

During his weekly "Mayor's Report", City Mayor Dan Lim said he requested for a non-Boholano police officer to head the City PNP.

Cesar received his transfer order from PNP regional deputy director for administration CSupt. Federico Perte on Wednesday.

The mayor had asked for the extension of Cesar's duty here until the end of the Sandugo festival.

Lim told the Chronicle that there is already a recommendee for the post but still needs the confirmation of the regional office.

The turn-over of command at the City PNP was originally set tomorrow.
