Two of the city's popular tennis clubs in Dao district displayed their hardcourt antics in a recent friendly match-p at the new Island City Court.

Formerly known as Cadre Heights Tennis Club, now Island City Court Club, the host-team engaged their counterparts from the Lindaville squad to thrill-packed games to the delight of fans last June 1.

The winning pairs of the newly-Christined included the following: Noel-Daryl, Bibith-Kit, Angelson-Dolly V., and Dolly-Putong.

Lindaville's triumphant tandems were Nilrad-Kit, Pilo-Bebot and lawyer Tago-Berto. A lone heart-stopping drawn game was provided by the tandem of Zafra-Arthur and Vencio C.-Pado duo. ICC won the friendly match-up, 4-3-1 (W-L-D) card.

The tournament was made possible through the twin efforts of Engr. Angel-son Pajo, Mr. Ben Varquez with the full backing of the Island City Court Tennis Club and the never-say-die Cadre Heights Neighborhood Association. (Margie)
