Less than two years away from the 2010 polls, Bohol politicians appear "ready to rumble" but the configurations still appear as "clear as mud".

One thing certain though is that the 2010 polls will not be as lacklustre and one-sided as the "no choice" 2007 elections. For one, 2010 is a presidential election where the national derby leaders will have local bets and will assure handsome funding.

for July crucial bouts


This coming July 26 is a big day for fight fans especially from the tourist-oriented island province of Bohol.

After a long inactive months due to the cancellation of his previous fight in Dubai, IBF flyweight champ Nonito Donaire Jr. may get a chance for a mega-buck showdown with WBC/WBA superfly king Cristian Mijares and the undefeated AJ "Bazooka" Banal for his first world title fight.

Airport talks sought by oppositors anew

Boholanos asking for transparency and thorough review of the Panglao Bohol International Airport project are once again seeking a dialogue with Gov. Erico Aumentado.

Dr. Ernesto Pernia of the UP School of Economics has again demanded for the governor to hold a dialogue with groups appealing for clarification of the airport project.
