14 Boholanos missing in
two sea tragedies

At least 14 Boholanos could now be dead while two have survived from two separate sea disasters at the height of the lashing of typhoon "Frank" over the weekend.

Reports gathered by the Chronicle until presstime yesterday showed that 12 Boholanos, including a veteran ship captain, may have drowned along with 700 others who were aboard the ill-fated "MV Princess of the Stars" that capsized off Romblon province last Saturday.

"CES AND FRANK"

 
 "Ces and Frank" is not as funny as TV's "Mork and Mindy" or as nostalgic as "Dick and Jane" or as a couple like "Brad and Angelina" or as enemies like "Punch and Judy."

But for the last 10 days, "Ces and Frank" was the most famous item on the lips of 90 million Filipinos for separate reasons.

"Frank," as you know, was the howling super-typhoon that devastated a wide swatch of area across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and destroyed P3-billion worth along the way together with hundreds killed or missing.

Divers find 'many'
in sunken ferry

SIBUYAN ISLAND. Philippine rescue divers said they found many bodies yesterday inside the ferry that sank with more than 850 people on board, confirming the worst fears of desperate relatives.

Anxious and angry family members had been clinging to hope their loved ones might still be found alive inside the doomed Princess of the Stars, which capsized and sank Saturday when it got caught in the path of a typhoon.
