MONTANO

May 25, a Sunday is a very special day not only for die-hard movie fans here but also to our basketball fans.

The once-in-a-lifetime stint here of the popular Showbiz All-stars led by Boholano movie artist and other equally-popular actors for an exhibition game against a reinforced DYRD All-Stars in the main attraction of a twin bill offering at the HNU Gym along Lessage street, this city starting at 7 pm this coming Sunday, is expected to surpass the thrill-packed PBA Fiesta Cup game between Purefoods and Alaska at the Calape Cultural and Sports Center and the recent Ex-PBA players game against the Bohol Selection at the HNU Gym.

To make the forthcoming star-studded showgame more competitive, Bohol's top radio station bannered by its leading media practitioners, including from the Bohol Chronicle will be augmented by towering varsity players from Cebu City.

Augmenting the Showbiz All-Stars in the fund-raising game aside from the sweet-shooting Cesar Montano are Romel and Rowald Montano, Derick Ramsey, Jorros Gamboa, Jordan Herrera, Carlos Morales, James Blanco, DJ Durano and other celebrities.

Expected to steal the limelight of the main attraction is the much-awaited game between the Gay All-Stars and the ever-popular Inday Rufing's Angels.

Proceeds of the civic-oriented presentation will go a long way of helping our less fortunate brothers and sisters who continuously troop to dyRD's top rated radio program "Inyong Alagad" to seck assistance.

Sponsors of the event include the City Government of Tagbilaran, HNU, Alturas, Boheco, Park n Go, Bohol Star Press, Bohol Coconut Palm Resort and Nature's Spring Drinking Water. (Manny B.)
