kick-off ceremonies
President
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will be coming back to the province
to officially "switch the green light" for
the construction of the Panglao Bohol International
Airport.
The
President was here last Tuesday to personally lead a
caravan of her Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH)
program with Tubigon Port as their port of entry and
exited through Jagna Port, both newly expanded sea ports
in the province.

Yap
secure Vietnam
will sell rice to Phil
MANILA.
Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap has expressed confidence
that Vietnam will participate in Monday's rice tender
as it has pledged to fulfill its commitment to an earlier
agreement with the Philippines.
In
an interview, Yap said Hanoi officials had assured the
Philippines that Vietnam will stand by its commitment
to supply as much as 1.5 million metric tons of rice
by participating in tenders conducted by the National
Food Authority.

Jerad
R. Docena, a Grade 4 student of Tagbilaran Grace Christian
School and a multi-awarded varsity player of the chess
event and coached by his father Crispin Docena and Loverly
Dezelle V. Magallano, a grade VI student and also a
varsity player of the Badminton event who is coached
by her teacher Ma. Elsa Ursos, separately won in the
recently concluded 2008 Palarong Pambansa in their respective
events each contributing bronze medals for the whole
Region 7 delegation.
