Guv tackles drainage row

 

Gov. Erico Aumentado is taking a diplomatic stand on the drainage issue even as he expressed concern on the residents victimized by flooding due to the unresolved issue on the drainage project in the city.

In his letter to city Mayor Dan Lim, the governor proposed for a joint operation with the city government, the provincial government and the DENR against the alleged illegal connections. The other option given was for the mayor to authorize the provincial government and DENR to undertake the cutting of the said connections. FULL STORY

Dela Paz "ready to face probes"

MANILA. Retired National Police comptroller Eliseo dela Paz yesterday admitted the lapses he committed and apologized for the "international embarrassment" he caused for failing to report that he was carrying an excessive amount of money while leaving Russia on October 11.
