Coop hosp vows
for better service

The Medical Mission Group Hospital and Health Services Cooperative - Bohol Cooperative Hospital (MMGHHSC-BCH) is strengthening its commitment to affordable quality health care while bracing for its 15th Annual General Assembly at JJ's Seafood Village here on April 19.

The physical and service upgrading of the only such institution in this part of the country is imminent with the full rise soon of its entirely new, far bigger edifice in Dampas district funded thru a loan.

There is no doubt of attaining the goal of providing sufficient health care once the new medical center is completed and operational, according to Francisca Baluyot, chairman of the MMGHHSC-BCH.

MMGHHSC-BCH's is a member of the Medical Mission Group Hospital and Health Services Cooperative Philippines (MMGHHSCP) Federation.

No less than the federation chairman, Dr. Renato A. Diagan, will give update on the aggrupation during the assembly in lieu of MMGHHSCP chief executive officer Dr. Jose M. Tiongco. Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Lim will also speak on the occasion.

The cooperative hospital will elect its board officials for the ensuing year during the assembly.

Before the election, the MMGHHSC-BCH board chairperson and the heads of the different committees/programs will render annual reports, apart from the assembly confirming all board resolutions passed in 2008.

Dr. Benjamin Galia, hospital's medical director, hoped the new center can provide "sustainable, affordable and accessible services to the community, especially the marginalized sector of the society."
