Wedding bells, fireworks for chief mate, Boholana PT

As wedding bells will toll for the couple's solemn moment, Dragon Fireworks will accentuate their grandiose celebration.

Chief Mate Allan E. Polancos of Davao del Sur will seal marital vows this coming Sunday with Maria Estrella P. Garcia, physical therapist of Loon, Bohol, based in Stockton, California, USA.

The bride has been working for 7 years at O'connor Woods - Meadowood Health and Rehabilitation Center and Select Therapies, Inc., while the groom is a licensed sea-faring chief officer.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas D. Garcia and Agapita P. Garcia (deceased) while the groom is the son of Alfonso M. Polancos and Lina E. Polancos.

The wedding ceremony at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at Our Lady of Assumption Shrine, Dauis Bohol will be solemnized by the couple's friends, Rev. Fr. Roland B. Cajegas and Rev. Fr. John Legitimas.

DESPITE THE DISTANCE

Love will find its way amidst the distance. For Allan and Estrella, it is the distance that creates their love story.

The groom was introduced by his colleague (Joboy Bucag) through the latter's sister Miriam Bucag-Cutin who is the bride's best friend. Allan, persuasive to get in touch with Estrella, first called her in the USA via Satellite on the 23rd of March 2008.

The bride wasn't at all interested with the conversation since she was driving her car with Miriam on their way to spend the Easter weekend in a tourist spot of Carmel-Monterey Coast. But the groom was persistent to get in touch with her. Since then, Allan was her constant caller.

Apparently, their love story developed more through calls and text messaging. It grew so beautifully that they decided to meet last August 2008, barely two weeks of knowing each other and spending time together with their families.

After being together for a short span of time, Allan went back overseas while Estrella went back to the US and continued to communicate each other.

Their love growing more intense and eventually decided to settle down. Now, for their second meeting, they will walk down the aisle.
