120 bikers in 2nd Kia Iron Legs

 The 2nd KIA IRON LEGS Bike Race, organized by Junior Chamber International - JCI Bohol Sandugo last July 26, 2009 was a huge success. The event was aimed at supporting the Sports Development Program JCI Bohol Sandugo dubbed as "JCI R.A.C.E (Race for Adventure, Community and Environment).

The well-attended bike race was participated by around 120 bikers from across the archipelago. Manila, Cavite, Cebu, Bohol, Ormoc, Leyte, Dumaguete, Samar and Dipolog under Road Bike Executive Category.

B & C and Mountain Bike All Bohol and Open Amateur Category.

The 60 kilometer stretch race route started at Kia Motors Display Center in Tagbilaran to Chocolate Hills in Carmen.

The results for the Executive Category B (1st) Jerry Aquino Jr. - Makati City; (2nd) Leian Cruz - Manila; (3rd) Nico Barrato - Paranaque. For the Executive Category C (1st) Ricardo De Guzman - Quezon City; (2nd) Robert Saniel - Sagbayan, Bohol; (3rd) Nides Pazcoguin -Quezon City; and PinPin Uy - Dipolog City.

   

The results for the Mountain Bike Open: (1st) Nino Surban - Cebu City; (2nd) Joseph Tabida - Garcia Hernandez, Bohol; (3rd) Bryan Lozano - Lapu2x, Cebu. For the Mountain Bike All Bohol Category: (1st) Emmanuel Comendador - San Miguel, Bohol; (2nd) Gualberto Vallota - Mabini, Bohol; (3rd) Gliserio Torreon - Talibon, Bohol.

The event was sponsored JCI Sen. Atty. Libby Casilan of KIA Motors, Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay and K & N Productions. The activity is also imparted by Dunkin Donuts, Jojie's Painitan, Puerto SignCraft, BBC Digital Graphics Printing, Saya's Restaurant, Aqua Verge, ADCE Builders, Tachycardia Wines and Spirits.

The race was led by its president JCI Mem. LJ Lumayag and supported by project chairman JCI Mem. Arch. Marvin Mariano. And co-chairman Dominic Aparicio.

Other JCI Members who helped mount the race were: Charles Borja, Gerson Gamas, Dennis Oppus, Aris Aumentado, Joleous Coritico, Boyet Lantaya, Danao Mayor Tomas Gonzaga, Arch. Dilo Evangelista, Migz Mansueto, Nelson Suabaguio and Atty. Lord Marapao V.
